MY STORY

We geared up for about 4 days worth of taming the mountains when I shot this guy opening day with my Hoyt Carbon Spyder.  We didn’t see anything big enough that morning so later after lunch we spotted a couple of 340 type bulls that headed to the crick bottom.  We bailed off the mtn and tried to get on them but had no luck.  We ran into this guy but made sure he never spotted us and kept going.  It started to sprinkle and I said lets go a little farther, hoping to get on those other bulls.  No such luck, so after debating on the hike back to the top of the mtn to camp I saw this bull again.  I decided he was my bull and I was going to get him.  I crept up to 45 yards and shot him.  He ran about 80 yards and went down.  I radioed to my dad on top of the mtn and he headed down with a pack frame and got him quartered and out by 10pm. It was great to have my dad there to experience it.
